  • Memory (RAM) - upgrading this will increase computer performance and will allow you to run more applications simultaneously.If you're a gamer, the more memory the better for smoother performance
  • Processor (CPU) - upgrading the CPU will result in the pc running much quicker, enabling you to work quicker and more efficiently.It will also be faster at multi-tasking, such as printing that all important presentation whilst you're surfing the internet
  • Graphics Card - if you're a gamer then you know how important a good graphics card is.An enhanced graphics card will allow you to run the game with the higher quality settings.It will also be more responsive and look and feel much better
  • Hard Disk - the bigger the hard disk, the more information you can save.If you want to download music or films then you'll need more disk space.In most cases a second hard disk can be added to the computer, so you won't lose any files
  • Monitor - fed up of not having enough desk space? Then go for a flat screen, it takes up far less desk space then a normal monitor and also produces less heat. They range in size from 15 inch to 26 inch,there are also wide screen monitors which are ideal for viewing DVD's
  • CD/DVD Drive - you should back up all your files on a regular basis to either a CD or DVD.With Windows XP it's easy, just drag and drop all your important information onto a disk.DVD's can hold up to 4.7Gb of data
